Do you call them emoticons? I prefer smileys or smiley faces. They are all the same, and you can use them to express yourself online (plus they are free!). Of course, you can just type :) to create a simple (boring) smiley. Now you can find plenty (thousands) of free smileys with awesome features. You can get animated smileys or 3D smileys or talking smileys plus many other options. Your new smileys will work on Facebook, MSN spaces, MySpace, IM, blogs, email, plus just about any other place you want them. So, how do you pick the right place to get your free smileys (you might have noticed, there a LOT of sites with free smileys).

Don't worry, choosing is easy. I've found that the best places to find and download your free smilies are Crawler Smileys, Freeze Smileys or Smiley Central. They all have lots to choose from, each with its own style. Smiley Central is my fave, but your mileage may vary. It's all free, so you can check them out and keep the ones you like. So I suggest you try this: Just pick one. Try it out. Not happy? Try another (make sure to bookmark this site). No problem. Here they are, have fun!

Smiley Central is probably the oldest and most popular. To download your smilies from Smiley Central click here, or on this lovely pic.

Next is the Crawler Smiley Toolbar. As I mentioned above, there is no telling which you will like. To get your smilies from Crawler Smiley click here, or click on the pic.

Last, but not least, are emoticons from Freeze.com. You guessed it, you can get your smilies from Freeze.com by clicking here, or there.

Did I say three? Well here is one more I just found out about, that looks a little different. It's from the folks who brought you SmileyCentral. Check this out! With Smiley Creator, you can actually customize your own Smileys. Reminds me of Mr. Potato Head. Sweet!

Note that the owner of this site (me) gets paid a small commission if you download and install one of these free Smiley products. Pretty sweet, huh? It's called Affliate Marketing. If you are interested in how this works, or want to make some money from your site, blog, or whatever, check out The Affiliate Program at Neverblue Network (also free). (I also get a commission if you make money with Neverblue, so it's all good.)
